Principles for BMB Discipleship Groups

These principles outline foundational considerations for caregivers seeking to start and sustain discipling groups with BMBs. They address individual focus, relationship-building, practical challenges, and group dynamics, reflecting an emphasis on personalized, contextual discipleship.

In-Person Discipleship Training

Through local partners across Sub-Saharan Africa we offer in-person BMB Discipleship Training Seminars. These are typically five days long and include pre and post seminar activities. Training is presented by experiences facilitators who are familiar with the joys and challenges of discipling BMBs.

Lesson flow for facilitators

This lesson structure is designed to provide a simple framework for transformational learning. It helps guide the group beyond only gaining knowledge, so that participants are able to engage personally with Scripture, reflect honestly on their lives, respond in obedience, and grow together as disciples of Christ.

Learning Design

A participatory, adult-focused approach guiding BMBs toward real spiritual transformation through personal Scripture engagement, honest reflection, prayer, group discussion, and intentional application.

How to apply Scripture to your life

Applying Scripture practically helps disciples move from hearing God’s Word to obeying it, so that biblical truth is worked into everyday choices, habits, and relationships. This is part of true discipleship: the Spirit uses the Word not only to inform the mind, but to renew the heart and produce a life of growing repentance, faith, and faithful obedience to Christ.
