Lessons in Loyalty God’s invisible hand
Ruth 1
From Ruth’s steadfastness and Naomi’s return, God’s call to obedience and transformation is clear, equipping believers to apply these truths faithfully as the story models. Focus on God’s hand.
This lesson will help you review the key lessons from Chapter 1, see God more clearly in the story, and grow in trust, gratitude, and joy by recognising that God is sovereign, worthy to be followed in every circumstance, and welcoming to all who come to Him in faith. Revise chapter 1 and highlight the lessons learned over the last 6 weeks. Focus on seeing God through the chapter. We have a God who is worth being followed – despite the circumstances. Want the BMB to understand the sovereignty of God – that he is in control of every situation. God never reprimands. God accepts even the gentiles who come to faith – Ruth the Moabite. BMB’s face persecution and potential desolation – circumstance can get worse rather than better – how can they trust God despite this? Desire for BMBs to be lead towards trust and rejoicing and gratitude in God’s sovereignty.
